That one is a dealer exclusive from a German retailer from back in the day when Victorinox used to do that sort of thing. Now it seems the only colored alox offered is their yearly limited edition runs.

Custom 1095 paring knife with purple box elder burl handle made for me by chef friend David Collier (superstar pastry chef for real: The James Beard Foundation named him one of the top 12 Pastry Chefs in the Nation in 2009). Blade has a sweet hamon too but hard to see because it’s a daily driver for me in our home kitchen. Probably my most used knife!

Yeah, that Barky is a chunky blade, but it is one of my favorites. The Microtech is a UTX-85.

I tried to dye half of the grip to be dark green, but i bought the wrong RIT and it ended up being darker purple. Frankly, I like this better than what I intended so no more dyeing will be done.
