This is a big'un for me in a full tang bowie style. It’s 440C... 3/16” x 1 7/8” tall and 12"overall with 7 3/8” tip to bolsters. Professionally heat treated to 59/60. Features 30 degree dovetail bolsters in nickel silver, affixed with 3 internal threaded rods with marine epoxy. It's finished all around to 2000 grit.
Granadillo scales finished to 1200 grit with four stainless pins, finished with multiple coats of Danish Oil and Carnauba Wax.
Edge before sharpening was in the .015” range and the blade glides through phone book paper, leather, rope etc. Weight is 15oz or 18oz with the sheath.
Handmade, lined sheath, wet molded for a snug fit.
