I guess this'll be my last knife posted of 2023!

This knife is basically the same profile of the og Q Factor, but with some small tweaks and modifications. To check out the original, go here; https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/the-q-factor.1878499/

This version of the knife is different in spirit. XT in this case stands for 'Xtra Thicc'. The original design is for small jobs and the emphasis is on light weight and portability. The handle for the XT model is shaped from 3/8" Terotuf scales, so it fills the hand more completely than the 1/4" slabbed non XT version. The result is a handle that can see a lot of use and leverage, causing less fatigue, making it ideal for bushcrafty/woodsy jobs. That hand filling handle is coupled with a very keen and acute, hollow ground edge making this knife a contender when it comes to doing woodwork.

In keeping with the spirit of the original, mountain bike themed design, a piece of mountain bike saddle rail is use for the rearward pin/lanyard tube. This pin passes through the tang, and really adds a lot of strength and durability to the handle.

The blade is cryogenically quenched CPM S35VN, in .15" thickness, with machine finished bevels and hand rubbed flats. The tang frame is G10, held in place to the Terotuf scales with 4, 2mm stainless steel hidden pins. Two 1/8" 304 stainless steel pins, in addition to the hollow pin, pass through the tang and handle assemble to guarantee the handle stays on.

The sheath is around 9oz veg tan leather, wet molded, stained, hot packed and hand stitched. The mounting holes are spaced 1" in order to accommodate a range of aftermarket clips. Those holes, in combination with the holes at the end of the sheath, provides the option to lash the sheath to a pack strap or whatever, as well.

Blade Length; 3 1/2"
Overall Length; 7 7/8"
Knife Weight; 4.15oz
Overall Weight; 6.15oz
