Queen city smooth red bone

Yours is a real Queen.:thumbsup:
But it doesn't look like the knife posted by the OP.

I'm still curios where the OP found this new Queen City?
If you can't say in the open, maybe you could PM me the info.

Okay, guys, have it your way. G'night.
Not sure why you're getting upset. :(
If I said something to offend, I apologize.
It's just that your knife is obviously different...
just look at your stamped tang vs the lazer etched tang of the OP.

As far as I can tell, dsutton24's knife and mine look identical. Mine is a Queen made knife - made well before the Daniel's even got involved (pre-2010).

The OP's is just now getting to market (found it on the home page of the Blue Ridge wholesale site after I logged in). But there are already chinese made Queen City knives with a different tang stamp in genuine abalone on SMKW's site (they are on Blue Ridge as well listed as China).

SMKW and Blue Ridge have a very close relationship and cross-market often.

I will say I am 90%+ sure the OP's knife is a new Bear made version as it does say USA made on Blue Ridge. And the only factories I know of that could do it are Bear and Utica; and since it is nearly identical to the Bear I posted - I'll go with that.

So we can expect to see Queen City both from overseas and domestically at two different price points. I will say that, whether intentional or not, this does confuse the issue.

Yes blue ridge is where i found them. Seeing these with the overseas ones started my questions about current state of company.

This was like a TV show... You start off with a bunch of questions, and then the answers are revealed at the end.:thumbsup:

It's become confusing, murky even ;) Not meaning to sidetrack or muddy things more but Bear not renowned for QC really, the credibility of a lot of parts knives at the tailspin of the Daniels era of Queen were often less than acceptable (polite version) and now Queen City being made in a far off land...not very inspiring.

Here's a Teardrop made by Queen in the last decade of c20th, it a big sturdy bomb ;) this Green Bone version is my user but I've got a very nice Ebony and Red Bone (winter bottom type jig) squirrelled away.

Typically, I have noticed that when names start being being used on multi-origin products - the market moves south quickly. If it is not simple to determine origin, most wanted the top end will walk away.
I'll put it this way: I'll buy a newly made Queen knife IF, AND ONLY IF I see it on your site, that way I know for sure it is a good one!
