question on Fallkniven A1

I recently purchased a lightly used Fallkniven A1 with kydex sheath on craigslist for a good price.
The guy told me it was laminated vg10 but the black coated blade only says vg-10 on it. I have seen other A1s that say LAM VG10. So is it safe to say mine is a solid vg10 blade and not laminated vg10?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Look for the line about 3/16" above the edge of the blade. This is where the VG-10 and 420 meet (you can also feel it with your fingernail). If you don't see a line, it's solid (at least same or better IMO).

Fallkniven used to make VG-10 blades before they moved on to LAM VG-10. Probably yours is a solid VG-10 one. They are out of production, so you can sell it easily and get the laminated version if you intend to do some chopping/batoning - for witch VG-10 is too brittle according to some people. Otherwise it's a fine blade.
My satin finish one says Lam VG-10 on it.
