Question on Pala

Border guard. Never had to shoot at anybody but threatened a few with khukuri. If he'd shot it would have been all over. He was no. 2 marksman in his Brigade. Got beat every year "by a little Rai midget who was too little to be able to shoot like he did."
 
I did a search on "Assam Rifles", and just skimmed several of the many sites that popped up. Their current involvement on the border has heated up, but the records of their accomplishments in the hill villages are commendable. Still, true to the tradition of Nepali in the military, they are as tough as whang leather, and not near as tasty to try to chew :D
