I want to get a Spyderco Lum Tanto...Apparently the ti handle is no longer made, and they now do G10 scales...I have seen both for sale, though. Which should I get? I don't know too much, correct me if wrong: ti is stronger and lighter. I don't know about the grip on the handle though...the G10 looks more...grippy. Anybody have one of these and care to comment? Or just comment about handle materials in general, for newbie education? :D Thanks!

The G-10 handle is certainly grippier. I don't know of their relative weights because I haven't handled them side to side. Strength should not be an issue between these two materials unless you are really abusing your knife. Another benefit of the G-10 is use in cold weather. One thing to note however: the Ti-handle has the option of tip-down OR tip-up carry. The G-10 model is ONLY tip-up. Fine by me but others don't like that. Hope this helps.
