has anyone seen a little bear bowie, randal model 12, with a 7 or 8" blade? any photo?

Here's one for you...Not exactly a standard version though.
Only the blade and perhaps the guard were standard. I designed the
handle and sheath in 68 or 69, and the piece was made in
70...as I recall.

Russ, yours is a cool knife! I sent you a related PM; I've got a few questions for you, if you have time...thanks in advance.

Delta, (almost) anything is possible, although usually not common - I saw an early Model #12-9 Sportsman's Bowie last year with an 8" blade...rare, but legit all the way. If you do have photos of a #12-6 LBB with a 7" or 8" blade, I'm sure we'd all like to see it...

That said, for the purposes of BFC, handmade Randall Made Knives (RMK's)are considered production knives, and to that end there is a RMK subforum in the manufacturer's forums area - that would probably be the best place to ask RMK related questions and post pics of same...;)

I just got to say that I think that is one great looking knife. Very sleek.
And it has so much character. One for the progeny I hope:thumbup:
Thanks for sharing that photo.

I love this knife, not quite done looking at it:)

Lorien,
It's still in the family, and will most
probably stay so.
Thanks for the comment...some memories
attatchet to that one...

right on brother!

Here is a couple of photos of the Randall model 12-8. Photos from the Nordic Knives website.
