Looks fantastic R! Love to hear stories of how you invited Yoko over and you both got arrested for being waaaay to drunk
Just don’t get to drunk and fall off that balcony!Fixed hahahahaha
I'm sure I'll be limber hahahahaJust don’t get to drunk and fall off that balcony!
Stop that or you'll go blind! The oversized handles help me more than I ever expected with hand fatigue! (My hands have been giving me issues)
Guess 3's not enough...3rd and 4th thing today. Smoker crapped out, and while trying to figure that out, the boy texts me saying his windshield caught a rock. Luckily he was able to take it over to Safelite and they sealed it. Glad he was able to take care of it right away, as it's really hot here right now and I've seen chips and small cracks grow in the heat.Yep, had car and house AC quit on Thurs last week. Luckily I was able to fix the house AC the next day by replacing the start cap on the blower. Dropped the car off at the shop this morning.
Hopefully a 3rd thing isn't coming...
One of my bidets broke today.Guess 3's not enough...3rd and 4th thing today.
Made it home!
I forgot to post what I think is probably the plan for Roland's study, including the little stairs to reach the highest books.

Used the Seek Nano 300 thermal (awesome little device for ~$300. Genuine 320x240 sensor) to look at the roof with the sprinkler mod. (Ambient = 85f 69%RH)And in today’s example of silly experiments, and “If it’s dumb, but it works, then it’s not dumb…”
I was curious to see if I could reduce the electricity usage in hotter weather (going to be in the 90s the next few days).
The sun BAKES the roof and the western facing brick wall, and I noticed those absorb (and store) a lot of heat, and radiate it inside, even when ambient night time temperatures drop into the 60s.
Used corroplast (corrugated plastic) to put up a solar reflector/barrier over the brick wall. Notable drop in heat absorption.
Decided to see what putting a sprinkler on the roof would do. 10 minutes and it dropped the roof’s temperature about 20f.
Hmmm… maybe not the most eco friendly solution, but if it results in less power draw for the a/c…
Sounds awesome - enjoy! No neck knife yet? I'm over this forum. Lol. Been busy with work and my 6 month old son. Sadly, the forums and my knife hobby have been on hold. A week long beach vacation starts this Saturday. I'll have time to catch up on the forums and stir the pot a bit. Cheers!
Damn sorry about more bad newsGuess 3's not enough...3rd and 4th thing today. Smoker crapped out, and while trying to figure that out, the boy texts me saying his windshield caught a rock. Luckily he was able to take it over to Safelite and they sealed it. Glad he was able to take care of it right away, as it's really hot here right now and I've seen chips and small cracks grow in the heat.
Smoker is electric, and seems either the cord/controller thing, or the heating element, is bad. Trips the GFCI after a minute or two. Ordered a kit with new element and controller, so we'll see. Supposed to be here tomorrow (gotta love amazon). Have people coming over for brisket this weekend so if this doesn't work, I'm either going to HD and buying a whole new one, or getting brisket from the local bbq place (which for 6 people will cost almost as much as the smoker lol).
I think you're on to something, Watson...There’s been some nice stuff on the exchange lately. I wonder if it correlates with a preorder of a relatively higher priced offering.
