SOLD - Properly Used Ranger Knives Entry tool Axe.
For sale, no trades thank you.
Condition: Used
“This axe has been used with heavy metal love. The paint is chipped and worn plenty but there are no fractures or chips anywhere that would compromise structural integrity. Ready for more hard use!”
This is a rescue and breaching axe intended for military and Leo use. Not for chopping firewood.
Some background info:
The manufacturer is Justin Gingrich's Ranger Knives which later evolved into Gingrich Tactical.
So to make it clear, this is not Ontarios Ranger Knives product but an original Justin Gingrich Ranger Knives product, making it collectible!
Justin himself has background in the US Army Rangers, 20th SFG and as a security contractor in Iraq.
In addition to tactical skills, the man liked to make some hardcore knives and other sharp tools.
The Entry Tool:
The Entry Tool is Justin's take on a rescue and breaching axe. The axe is no longer manufactured and I can't say if you can request this model from Justin as a custom.
But here would be the Entry Tool purchased directly from Justin in 2007 with black crinkle paint and paracord grip. Has been used!
A collector's item, of course, but also for hard use if necessary.
The axe is made of S7 tool steel. It's as if steel and the heavens collided into one sweet rocknroll heavy metal in Justin's workshop. We're talking epic proportions here.
Hardness is 58-60 HRc. The sharpening of the axe head edge is convexed. In addition, the top end of the axe has a chisel blade for prying, i.e. for forcefully opening a door or something. Length 455mm (18in) and weight about 1.0 kg (2.2 lbs).
Comes with a kydex sheath from which the axe can be easily (but with sufficient retention) removed by pulling it up. Various kydex adapters can be attached to the sheath. A belt clip adapter is included.
Let's make it clear that this has been used! However, the axe is fully functional, no cracks or other structural problems.
It's ready for more destruction of nasty materials and things, which is the game that Entry Tool is meant for.
