Ok folks, what is the rarest of the rare Busse out there? Obviously, pics would rock, but if you don't have the knife, well, no pics....... I'm just interested to see/hear what's out there, or I should say, not out there.

I feel like besides the custom shop ones that "stealth hawk"? (Composite knife) and the busses infi d guard are prettttty rare production runs.

Folder

There's at least one and it hasn't left the compound yet, Jaxx posted a few teaser pics a while back.

Ask Monte, he has most of the rarest of the rare.

Then again, the Apache Thrower and the Knight Lite are still MIA

The folder counts of course, but only to a degree. I firmly believe it is a myth and that Jaxx is in on the hoax!!!!!! joking.......

Jerry used to do a lot of small run specials for Blade, Fogo's Steak Knife comes to mind. Lots of n of 3 or 5s out there.

As far as I know this is the only one of its kind in the world. Dave Brown has a Bear Cub with the same handle material.

Are we talking about one of a kind rare? Or just rare rare? Like one where there's only 1 or 3 of that specific model? Or a special one of a kind made from a model that has had 200 variations?

those Hatchets are pretty rare

Any 1 of 1, 1 of 3, or 1 of 5 is going to be rare simply based on low numbers. A better question is which regular productions are rare. I think anything pre 2002 or so would fall into that category with some being rarer than others simply based on how popular they are. There are a lot of regular production knives that are extremely popular that people are holding on to and you rarely ever see come up for sale.

This is my train of thought, yet more eloquently spoken, er typed.

Ok so its not a Busse, but I saw the title and could not resist. Today by sheer luck, I scored 8 pounds of H-4350. If you know what that is, you know how rare it has been lately:)

I've been looking for an 8 pound keg of CFE223 or Win748 for damn near 10 months now.

1 of 1, apprentice straight handle battle mistress, 5160 steel. Probably part of the batch that went to Justin Gingrich for his Ranger Knives.
