Thank u for the help.i posted a couple pics

Ontario has been known to move their rollmarks around a bit. Judging by what I can see, I don't think you have anything to worry about. The scales and hardware look correct, and the laser etching looks crisp. The jimping is clean and symmetrical with the correct number of cutouts, as well.

Enjoy your knife, it's a good one.

Did you buy from amazon itself or a third party seller on amazon? I've had excellent results buying knives direct from amazon. There used to be a few really good third party knife sellers on there too. I don't buy too much from amazon any more though. I wouldn't trust fly by night third party sellers. They have to be large dealers or have a long, proven track record. Anything under a 92% rating is a red flag.

Yeah.got it straight from amazon.thanks for the reply 😄

I am looking at my Rat-5 as I write this. Looks like your knife is authentic, at least from what is included in your photos. Plunge line, the number of raised jimps, the trademarks, allen screws in Micarta, etc. Looks exactly like mine. My Rat is only 3 months old, so it represents a newer version of this venerable ole beast. Great knife value in my opinion.
