Rawhide for Maul repair

Hello all, I own one of those stohlman brand heavy mauls with a rawhide head. The problem is that the head is worn out. Anyone know where I can find rawhide to replace the head with? I'm probably going to have to cut it out myself but where do we find really thick say 9oz or better rawhide?
