Re-cutting sawcut bone

I just fot a new case barlow in sawcut bone and the sawcut is too shallow in my opinion. The knife is beautiful but i want deep sawcuts. I am tossing the idea of re-cutting it somehow. I Have a rough rider barlow i think i will experiment on. If anyone has done anything like this i am open to advise. Thanks. I will update with pics once i start experimenting

I would probably use a knife blade to cut the grooves deeper.
