I'm new to the world of Khuks so I don't know if this has been discussed previously and if this is an old trick that all of you know...
I had to do some serious re-edging due to some wear/damage associated with a working blade.
I found glueing some wet/dry sandpaper of various grits to some soft black foam plus a little Lansky oil, no plug intended, really worked well with very little effort.
I haven't gotten it to shaving quality yet, but I didn't put very much effort into it and I haven't stropped it at all. but the blade came out great. Clean and sharp.
The flexible foam worked very well at sharpening the convex edge.
Initially I tried some cellulose sponges as the base, but found them to be too stiff to conform well to the curvatures of the blade. I don't know what kind of foam it is that I used, but it's the soft black stuff that comes in computer packaging.
It worked well for me, anyway.
