Recon 1 bush knife?

Anyone ever mod a recon 1 tanto into a bush folder?

I have a recon 1 I don't use much any more, and would like to repurpose it into a bush folder. I want to remove the serrations, and tanto and regrind the edge into a ffg or scandi grind. Would also remove the black coating as well.

Am I the first to attempt this?

The hollow grind is pretty thin so regrinding it into a ffg would make it very weak and a scandi grind wouldnt be possible at all since a scandi will remain at stock thickness all the way to the edge. If you want a folder for the bush and you dont like the recon 1 maybe the xl version would suit you better?
 
I'm getting to the point that a "bush knife" is whatever I take into the bush.
