for one of the boys in the SPL forces :)
(edited to add the spec's)

1/4" 6 7/8" O1 dif quenched hollow ground tanto style edge
with 1" serrations, OL 11 1/2"
sharp hollow ground swage/faults edge, done on a 1 1/2" wheel.

it has a wire bender/breaker and a hook to catch and cut cord,
this Knife has a 3 piece aluminum take down handle.

3 toned camoed with gun coat.
the heat dulled the colors some :grumpy:
bal point is just in front of the index finger.

I thought about adding soft rubber to the grip
indentations but I think it would give it something to fail..

the handle is 3 piece, made from a solid aluminum bar with
through tang with a ni-lock nut in the pommel (open end.)
using 4 hardened 1/8" alignment dowel pins to keep it all lined up.
in between the handle sections there is black spacer material.
the wire breaker is milled in so you can put it on the say Barbed wire
and bend until it brakes, the hook is a shallow gut hook.

Can we see the specs on it? Tell me about the handle? It looks comfy.

thanks Ray :)
dang pointed too for a point like that.

gives me the willys thinking what if.. ouch..

Dan,
Well thought out and beautifully executed. I'd carry one on my hip any time.

That is a really cool tactical Dan!

You could add some skateboarders grip tape in those indentations instead of rubber.

Terzuola used to do this on the bottom edge of his M30 grips and it worked well.

thanks Guys
greg, yes that would work
it must be the same stuff they used on the stair treads we had on the ship I was on ,it's like 20 grit paper :)

thanks guys
I may send this off to Jim W to snap a few of it, after it goes to blade.
I think it is still?. then off to one of the boys via Roger
if they don't mind..

thanks guys :D

That looks really cool. I like the point shape a lot, and the whole thing is looks unique, but still like a worker.

Really nice Dan! Superb craftsmanship and artistry in one. One of our troups will be very happy/lucky/well-outfitted over there. Not much telling what action the knife will see later on.

Thanks Robert
I have the leather sheath done and camo'ed, but the rain is keeping the sun blocked so I can't get a good picture of it to post. still don't have my light box right.

then I can send her on..should have be monday..

Now ..that there is a design that you could patent, and then contract to mass produce and market ...especially considering our society's military penchant of late. (Much like the way RMJ Forge is producing the Eagle Talon Hawk.)
