RED Friday

Look what scarcity has done to GEC prices!!
on the second hand market (about the only place to get one if not a BF forum knife?).
I believe Bill/GEC only gets the dealer wholesale price, or retail for knives sold at the company store?
(unless he is also selling some on the ePrey and like sites.)

Also look at how many have given up on getting a GEC, choosing to get a more affordable option, either new or used (Queen; CSC; Böker; Case-Bose ... The high end vintage brand and model the GEC is/was based on ...

Sorry. I'll "shhh" and go back under my rock. 😇👍

No longer under my jurisdiction...but a good red.

Paul, I don't think I've ever seen that jigging before, on the Reese Lanny's.
..........it's not a recent one of his. I'm not sure how old it is, but it was the only one I risked buying from here across the pond as it had suffered a wee bit of corruption from being left in a damp leather pouch for a long time.

The other Bose models, at the time on offer, were three times the cost at least..! It still has an absolute lovely walk n talk, and the feel in the hand is glorious.

The dealer I bought it from in the 'States (3yrs ago) said it was old and rare AG Bone.......whatever that means/is..?

Hows about the scales on this KA-BAR Becker BK-16 Short Drop Point with Charlie Cline sheath? I bought the knife used and the scales look like oak to me - but shorely look awful red. I know very little about the subject - but have always thought they must be stained oak. ? ?
