Odd picture.
I wonder its source.
If its from Police, would not each object have an identification/evidence tag affixed ?
One might think so if police intend to return property to its rightful owners, or identify who possessed what if criminal charges are planned...

But quite right an assortment of the good, the bad & the comical of knives.

Btw, only a couple of scabbards with all those knives.
Tell me all their owners carry knives un-sheathed,
or a sly point of these photos to generate an added intimidation value ?

I liked sharpening knives for the MCs I used to hang out with, they appreciated good working edges. Sure there were some druggies and whatnot, but mostly guys that would have your back. I was honored to attend a Mongol party for a vet who was patched in, he wept at his acceptance to the family. Not all chapters of MCs are the same. BACCA is chartered through Hells Angels and those guys go through background checks.

Out of the 58 knives displayed, at least 16 are illegal for public carry in Texas 5 by obvious blade lengths, 1 from being a knuckle knife, as well as being double edged. The other 10 are illegal due to having double edges.

Texas legal limit is 5.5 inches. I dunno, but I don't actually see 5 that I would say are obviously longer than that. I see a couple that probably are, and a couple that MAY be but not 5 I would say certainly are. Also, I'm not counting 10 double edged ones, either, counting the knuckle knife I see 5, with a couple maybes...

Skimo - BACA as in Bikers Against Child Abuse? They have a local chapter here in Houston. Or are you talking about a different club? I wouldn't know that they're affiliated with 81.

On another note, I sure hope I can get a few 8 balls for all my Busses. :P

Spyderco Bill Moran bowie....???
Or reasonable facsimile?

edit: ah, catabis beat me to it

Spyderco moran should have the tiny hole but I can't see it..

As a biker/former rider with many friends in the community, what happened in Waco was crap, cops murdered them. Regardless, the knives are simply what regular people carry - not an armory, not meth not any of that crap- it irritates me to see people making assumptions about what they dont know.

Pretty sure the Kershaw Amphibian is the real McCoy. (I have one with the leather boot knife sheath.)

I can tell you this is a very uneducated statement.:( I have been around lots of "church goers" to know.

Oh yeah? I know of lots of cases of biker gangs using and dealing meth. Maybe these weren't, maybe they were. You have no more idea than I do.

Church goers? The FBI seems to think otherwise. Here you go a little education for you!

"The motorcycle gangs involved in Sunday's shootout in a Waco, Texas, restaurant parking lot are a breed apart from weekend hobbyists on bikes, authorities say.

The groups are serious criminal organizations — including one that the FBI alleges is among the largest outlaw motorcycle gangs in the USA"

"The FBI says the Bandidos "are involved in transporting and distributing cocaine and marijuana and are involved in the production, transportation and distribution of methamphetamine." The group is most active in the Pacific, Southeastern, Southwestern and the West Central regions of the USA."

Jill jack son, I think you are confused on the meaning of the term "church goers".

Stupid autocorrect. But, please feel free to take what you will from the rest of my post, Jill.

They also bust small-time marijuana grow ops and then try to say it was a big ol' meth lab with hundreds of thousands worth of drugs inside. Everything a legal authority says should be taken with mountainous piles of salt; my experience tells me that painkilleraz might be very correct indeed.

Yeah! I know lots of cases of biker gangs not using or dealing, ever! Witnessed, first hand.

Worked at a coffee shop at the time. They'd show up pre and post AA for enormous cups of coffee, daily!

Occasionally they'd get a bagel, or a scone!

All wore leather, depending on the weather!

But, but, but, I thought the whole point of this thread was to scoff at the cheap pos knives bikers carry so they can have more money to buy meth?

Or am I missing something?

Just thought it was interesting to see what biker gangs carried. Some quality cutlery...BudK makes a killing off these dudes. And one guy even decided a Batman Batarang was the best choice for edc
Do you recognize any of these knives?

Well maybe they spent their Meth money on their bikes and they had to go with the Waco flea market Ninja table.

So here we have a thread in the General Knife Discussion with overtones of something else. Why it needs to veer off into personal animosity, I don't know. I don't think we need any more of this.
