Today June 22nd 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the end of the battle of Okinawa so if you can spare a minute during all this craziness I would like to ask that you take moment to reflect and give thanks to those 49,000 brave men and woman who gave their all to fight the good fight for others freedoms. Although my father fought in Korea he felt it important to remember the sacrifice that these people made and to never forget. He was given these bottles of sand from vets who were their and they stayed on his night stand for years but as a boy I didn't understand until he passed them to me and explained the importance of them and what they stood for.
