removal of black oxide

hi there.....

anyone out there has the experience of removing black oxides on the blade?

I dont wanna sand it down, just wanna look for an alternative.

you could pickle it, but you'd still end up sanding, black oxide is really resistant to pretty much everything, and anything that'd strip it would also really screw up your blade :D so I say just get out the sandpaper and work on those forearms

I agree with mrstenoien. Black oxide is stable stuff.

Are you sure it's black oxide and not paint? (Don't be offended, just checking. A lot of black blades have black epoxy coatings instead of black oxide.)
