hey guys. I have another question for ya. I have a protech TR-3, and it is an out-the-side automatic. My question is, what do I have to do to remove the blade from this knife? Once i loosen all the screws, can i just take out the blade? or will i never be able to put back once i take apart? Is there anywhere with some directions or pictures? thanks.

since it was put together once, it can be put back together again, providing you don't break anything in the process.

I'm not sure about protech, but if there are screws you should be albe to put it back together rather easily. ymmv.

Do it with the blade open so that the spring is unloaded.

All you have to do is insert the end of the spring in the hole on the blade and the other end in the hole in the handle. Other than that, it is the same as a manual knife.

The first time I did it to an auto, I did it with the blade closed and it was not as easy!
