Rough up G10?

G10 is a little slippery to me and I'd like to rough it up.

In the past I've used skate/stair tape.

I'm wondinering if there's a way to simply rough up G-10 so I don't need the tape? Thanks.
 
Blasting it and contouring the heck out of it as far as that I am not too sure. Since it isn't as porous as micarta I don't know what else you can do to it.
 
Sand it with 100 grit sandpaper. Don't breathe the dust.
