Just a couple of questions for the more knowledgeable. Does anyone know what sort of quality Schatt & Morgan's 420 stainless is? Could it be 420HC?

On a different angle, would the natural patina on 1095 hide the blade branding on say a 1095 Un-X-Ld?

It's 420HC, around 56 Rockwell.

A patina will easily hide the etch- I haven't seen either of the etches on my Tidoute in months.

Just a heads up, from my experience, it is not like what we are used to with Buck's 420HC. What the Bos H.T. does, it great imho.
