Sack-ups Storage - Good Idea?

I bought a sack-ups 12 roll for some knives, they claim to protect against rust, and it's pretty humid during the summer here. It says that it's silicone treated, is this good or bad? Is the silicone harmful to any parts of knives? The main thing I'm worried about are the plastic handles, I figure the metal is fine. I have FRN spydies and subcom folders, yellow delrin handle cases, and plastic SAKS in the roll. I don't usually like to introduce foreign chemicals to my knives, I've had some bad experiences. I've also heard that silicone sprays harm plastic. I don't usually even lube a knife if it's not necessary. Would the silicone have any bad effects? Does it rub off the fabric onto the knives, or is it a permanent part of the fabric? I'm probably overly paranoid, but is it worth worrying about?
