I own two Swiss Army Knives that utilize a bail instead of a split ring. One is marked Hoffritz and the other Abercrombie & Fitch. Does anybody have any more information about these knives? When were they made? Did SAK use a bail on any knives bearing only their own name? Thanks, T-A

Several Cellidors arrived the last few days so thought I'd post them together.

First a vintage 91mm Fisherman, it has the old awl, square phillips with file, silver head tweezer as well as single spring scissors with clip pen blade and bail:thumbsup:

Also a couple of 84mm small Tinkers, one with shield on the pile side, then the other is a bit older (no tools) with the old awl and clip pen blade as well as the slotted phillips or sometimes referred to as the tin can phillips? due to the slot partially down the center.

The can opener tip was damaged so I re-profiled it so the edge wasn't jagged:)

You can see the light through the slotted phillips

Then a 84mm cellidor Electrician. I like this one, nice and thin and basic tools, Spear, Sheepfoot and Phillips:thumbsup:

Others arrived as well but was only able to post these right now:)

They did, the top one I posted here is a Victorinox Fisherman:thumbsup: You have two very nice knives:cool: I'm not sure but think the 50's/60's? I had a more definite date but forgot off hand. Could be the 50's had pinned scales?

1902 to about 1969, for cellidor. Soldiers from 63-92 have one hollow rivet where a bail could be installed, but they were not issued that way.
