I would like to get a salt pot for heat treating CPM steels, 316/316L is good for Steels like O-1, but when you are pushing 2100 degrees I want to make sure I have the right set up. Will 316/316L work or will I need Inconel? If 316 will work is there anything I need to be aware of other than BE CAREFULL? And if I need Inconel do you have a source? I am looking for a 18" piece with a butt cap to be welded on it.
