Sand Blasting

I have many Spydercos with painted pocket clips, they look good at first but after a while the paint chips off which I find annoying but my buddy has a sand blaster and I blasted a few of the clips and they look sweet...they are still darker in color but are flat instead of shiney, it looks like the knife could have come that way. Its a nice alternative when the paint chips.

I stripped it with paint stripper and polished on a buffing wheel for my G-10 endura. Makes it look better IMO and took very little time, I do think a sandblasted clip would look better on a FRN model, though it may make it prone to rust. Not because you stripped it but because sandblasting leaves pits in the steel.
