Hello

I am hoping that someone here will be able to assist with information on a Sanderson Bros & Co knife, such as an approximate date. Also, does anyone know what the handle is made of?

I found the knife in a wall. I beliieve that the knife was in the wall since 1853-1858.

Thank you for any and all replies.

I am trying to add an attachment. If it does not show here, I will try again.

Google is your friend! See page 93 of Blade's Guide To Knives And Their Value, 7th edition, edited by Steve Shackleford.

Sanderson Bros is listed there in this Google Book link. (page down until you get to page 93).

The company was previously Naylor & Sanderson until 1839, changing to Sanderson Bros in that year. They've apparently stayed in business under the new name from that year until the date of publication of the Guide.
