It was at the knife shop in town that I mentioned on another thread. I have a question about them though. When the clerk took out the chamak it looked... well.. dinky. It have had a "blade" all of 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" long. Also do they tend to make a lot more drastic of a handle flare (not quite sure of the name of this yet)? The handle was fairly thin and had a drastic pointed oval butt cap (also not sure of the terminology). Is this normal of their products, or did I just see a cheap knock off?

The GH khukuris I have have the "old style" buttcaps which are folded on the sides to make a sort of cup shape. They follow the outline of the handle. The karda and chakma tend to be cruder and thinner than those found on HI khuks.
