School On Other Planets

Going to the meeting, asking for a miracle. No kick puppy butt, no heads roll, just ordinary flawed folks muddling through. I don't know what else to ask for except a miracle. I'm tired of 'process' and buearacracies, lies and fears and hiding. I'm flawed, they're flawed, everyone's flawed. Only let's not browbeat kids, and let's watch out for each other on the playground.
I'm giving up. I'm in the miracle business. I don't know any other way. Wish me luck.

No miracle. Schools are modern bureacracies and protect themselves.
I was told the father spoke well. His kids will now take a bus to a larger city, along with many other Rockcrusher families. The kid is trouble gets a pass and no recognition, and the town is divided.

Benefits outweigh the costs for the father's kids then. I'd say not getting a pipe whacked into one's eye is a solid benefit.

Grief is, however, appropriate when something valuable, like a community school, is lost.

Some organizations become quite adept at sending a problem elsewhere, rather than addressing it. Out of sight, out of mind.

Hopefully, A, B, C and their father can rest a little easier.

They've used something called the 'privacy' act in a novel way. I assume that's a federal law but it could be state. All the families who left the school were not germaine to any issue. No other child could be discussed. No other actions or history. They effectively killed communication. Nothing could be known because nothing was related to anything else. I would have thought the act prevented school officials from discussing other children, not being informed about them.

I was pleased many of the Rockcrusher familes decided with the father of the sponge sitters. The bus ride will be with friends, anyway.

Very Sad. XV lost out big time.

The beaurocrats?

"if any man cause one of these little ones to stumble..."

Grief and hope, very appropriate.

Tom

that is more bs. i have seen that privacy act bit pulled before. someone once told me i wasn't allowed power of attorney, which had been granted by the party i was representing with signed documents i had in my hands, according to the privacy act. i was shocked this moron would say this to me. these people should lose these jobs if they're unfit for the positions, simple as that. hope they don't have kids to feed.

XV slips through, becomes a casualty later, takes someone down with him. Another bureacracy will handle all that, or several more.

They'll say, 'who knew?"
