Screw thread

#2X56TPI is a common size. The major diameter of this thread size is .086” Screw sizes are not normally based upon the size of the tool that happens to fit the screw head. Tails don’t wag dogs.
 
It's a bit bigger than the 2 x 56. And I think it would be a metric size since it is Chinese made. But thanks
 
DF759E4E-8682-45B3-AC78-785EDBC61190.jpeg Well, here’s the chart. There are 3 metric sizes between #2 and #3 (U.S. wire guage size). If the threads per inch are whole numbers, it’s a U.S. size. If the threads per inch are fractional, it’s a metric size. 1st column: nominal size. 2nd column: major thread diameter in decimal inches. Rest of the columns: Pitch in thread per inch (TPI).
