Does anyone know what RFID shielding requires? Would a single sheet of aluminum foil protect data from adverse scanning?

If so, the Large Bifold Wallet has a flap in the bill compartment. Lift the flap, insert aluminum foil, when the wallet is closed, foil surrounds the card compartment.

I would appreciate any feedback on feasibility.

That's an interesting question, soemthing I've never thought of as I don't have any RFID cards. Google searches showed a lot of people using aluminum foil...

I have to wonder if copper instrument shielding foil tape wouldn't work better. It blocks radio interference for guitar pickups, so I would think it would block RFID well. Something like this: http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/DiMarzio-Copper-Shielding-Tape?sku=364741

There are probably non-adhesive versions around, if you look for 'em.

That's a great question esav. I recently got a new passport as well as the new passport card which has an rfid chip in it. It came with (what looks like) an aluminized pocket to slide the card into which is supposed to shield it. It basically looks like one of these:

Heavy duty aluminum foil would be as thick or thicker.

edit- I found this page which is interesting: http://www.omniscienceisbliss.org/rfid.html
