Seeking the best ‘sounding’ titanium framelocks

The titanium Spyderco Military I just sold had the best frame lock clack I’ve ever come across.

I love my Spartan Harsey but it’s sound isn’t quite as satisfying.

Here’s the type of ‘ping’I’m after:

I’m not the biggest fan of the cormorant tho will buy one anyway. Surprised that this seems to be so obscure :D

-I lust after naturally aspirated V10s bc of their sound
-dudes spend thousands putting catback exhausts which have zero performance gain
-my 1911 gets way more love than my glocks bc of how satisfying the slide is
-Dirty talk is great

None of the above contributes to the performance of the respective categories but def adds to the UX for me.
I get ya. Like, who in their right mind would watch porn with the volume turned off? Seriously, who????

North Arms Skaha II has a similar sound, but it's a linerlock.

Haha this thread is silly, but honestly it is really no different than any other silly thing that us knife knuts like. I like the "snick" (?) sound that a nice pocketknife makes when you open it up. Traditional knife folks talk about "walk and talk" all the time. This is a dumb thing to chase sure, but having more than 1 good knife is kind of dumb too really. We're all in the same boat here OP, even if there are some grumps out there. Don't let them get you down. :)
Though maybe you should be looking for a tuning fork, or a fancy triangle to play? I'm sure there is probably a forum out there of triangle players lol :p

Little video I made for another forum I frequent in which the OP stated he likes the sound some knives make when he's listening in his headphones.

ETA: not shilling a channel or anything, I just did a few for fun for the regulars in that thread. The video has something like 16 views.

Then there's this one:

Seriously though, I love the sound a well made slip joint makes, and the ping of my machete when I cut stuff. I understand why the op is asking what he is.

Sometimes the music is all it takes... maybe someday there will be a greatest hits of 70s porn soundtrack album made.

I don't buy knives for their sound.

There are lots of things to like about knives. Good ergonomics, blade geometry, steel and heat treatment are more important to me. I love a good action. I suppose sound is a component of the action. It's certainly part of the experience and if it makes someone happy, why not celebrate it?

I'm generally not a fan of big chonky blades but that can contribute to the sound. For instance, my Sheepdog thwacks out wonderfully but it is the liner lock version. Maybe when I get a chance, I'll go through my frame locks and see if any sound special.

I describe my Demko AD20.5 as "thwacktical." The combination of the blade hitting the stop and the locking slamming closed is like nothing else.

However, sound, like many subjective qualities, can be very different yet still provide satisfaction. The Demko is loud and don't you forget it, but I also enjoy the subdued "snick" of my A Purvis Progeny.

That RJ Shiro sounds and looks awesome, I have a quantum Ursus, but it doesn’t sound quite that good
That is very nice, what is it? Looks like a CRK but different
Edit: for a different sound on a budget, check out the Kershaw Dimension. It is a speedsafe, button lock knife, with a unique sound for $30. Idk if they are still in production tho, or who has them in stock

Its a Scott Cook Lochsa, the very first intergral folder made. It gets compared to that often because Scott used to be the foreman at CRK’s shop until he started his own business. He brought a lot of influences and similarities into his work.

My Spyderco Techno 2 has the best, sharp, snap, sound and action I have found in a frame lock.

My Lionsteel TRE, while not the biggest framelock, has the best sound and feel factor when opened.
