Seiko vs. Wenger

That's true a classic old accutron is really something but they are fairly expensive and getting hard to find.

Many of Seiko's best and most interesting offerings aren't available in the West. This guy has some fun ones. Seiko Auto 5's rock!

Dakota, if you're interested in the Military models, you should check out Chronograph.com. They could probably get the one you posted cheaper than a hundred. In fact, the black dialed military models on their site run for $75 for the "K" models. Nice people as well- shipping is also always included in their price.

Thank you SpyderJon! I was not aware of that site. It seems to be down at the moment, but I'll keep trying.

I've got a Seiko Automatic off Overstock. It's a great watch, but a little light in my books in terms of weight. I like one a little heavier, and this one makes me forget I have it on sometimes.

As for the Automatic part, I have to turn it back about every 7 days 2-3 minutes, but that's about all. It was a pretty good purchase and only cost me $90.00.

If you want heavy get the Monster. I have an Orange Monster that I love. I was wearing my Rolex GMT when I bought it. I put the Rolex in the Seiko box and never looked back.

The metal band on the Seiko is solid and heavy and seems to be of better quality than the one on my Rolex. The face is big, the lume is incredibly bright and I have gotten more comments about this watch than any other I have owned.

Believe me, I don't mean to contradict you in any way, but i am trying to understand the criteria for a "good" watch. You are saying you have to turn it back 2-3 minutes every 7 days, and you consider it a "good purchase"?
