Serial Number +Date?

I have a 3 bladed Uncle Henry Stockman. The serial number is; 07069. Would that mean it was made in July 1969? Thanks. John
 
G'day John, I'm unaware of any USA Schrade Knives being date stamped...I believe it is just the Serial # 07069.....Many USA Schrade knives carried Serial Numbers...any photos you can show?....
 
Very hard to see the numbers as they are inside the frame. I bought the knife about that time, or early 1970, that is why I thought in might indicate a date. Thanks. John
 
John, read this thread from awhile back. Is yours a 3½" knife or a 4" knife?

885UH Dating Serial Nos. and Packaging

Although I'm a big Schrade-o-phile from the folders right through the fixed blades, the 885UH King Ranch four inch stockman is probably my favorite. I'm also big into trying to accurately date the older knives I own. This thread is the culmination of several hours of scouring Schrade catalogs...

Scrade
Walden
NY USA
Stainless

and 885 on the other side of the tang. I bought it from Randall, figured if they were selling it must be GOOD KNIFE. JOHN
 
I have a similar knife, with the same tang stamp. Serial number 26013. It appears to have aluminum liners instead of brass.

The tang stamp doesn't match the ones in the charts you commonly see floating around the internet.
