How it fits together

I made this little tool. It is used as a scraper to remove a V shaped groove in the liner material.

The bent spacers

The sticky stuff

Everything ready to go together. The tang has been sandblasted to make a good surface for the epoxy to adhere to.

All glued up

Drilling for the pins

pins installed

captions have all been added, stay tuned for the conclusion...

after handle shaping, everything is given a brushed like finish with a Scotch-Brite belt.

Using a file guide to set up where the texturing on top of the bolsters will go.

Before this photo was taken I used a spacer between the file guide and the checkering file to keep the lines perpendicular to the spine

thank you, Steve!

I'm waiting on the remainder of the captions to arrive before I post up the photos of the finished knife. I hope I did it justice! Charles did a hell of a good job :)

all the captions have been added- thank you, Charles!- photos of the finished knife will be posted tomorrow.

A big shout out to Charles for supplying the photos and the commentary.

I have no doubt, whatsoever, that at least a few of you following this thread with derive value from Charles' efforts and I would like to invite you to thank Charles for his service here. It's amazing to me how willing cutlers are to share their craft- if you appreciate that, say it!
