Shirogorov NeOn Zero my new EDC (vs. CRK Small Inkosi)?

Hey mate just wanted to say Thankyou for sharing all the information that you have. It has helped me a lot personally!
I'm currently looking into a Shiro Neon Zero but am a little hesitant.
I own 3 CRK's and my small Inkosi is my absolute favourite of everything I own. I have a Plain Drop point model.
Why I'm hesitant is partly because of cost and I wanted to do some research on ease of cleaning with them. I love how easy CRK's are to maintain. I really enjoy taking them apart.
For reference I don't like taking PM2's apart I feel like I'm gonna break the scales every time trying to get it all undone.
Can I ask what teflon tape you use? Was thinking about trying this on my Inkosi and Umnumzaan I was worried that overtime the continual use of loctite may build up and cause issues down the line.

Thanks again

Joel
I used Milrose Monster PTFE tape... any plumbing PTFE tape should work. I had to splice some down to size. Cleaning a Shirigorov is easy if you have some good pointy tweezers and wrap the end of the screw driver in tape to prevent scratches. Now with the pivot screw secure the lockup on the Zero is as secure as any CRK. Be aware, this is my first flipper and I’m still building muscle memory around how to hold the knife to deploy without touching the lock bar. My success rate keeps improving. There is both the forefinger method and the Bic lighter method with the thumb... I find the latter even more easy. BTW, 100 1.5mm ceramic or steel bearings are like $5-$10.

Funny enough I had the same issue with a few flippers I’ve owned.

The weird thing I found that worked is to open them with my Left hand ;)

Zero issues having my fingers on the lockbar then, lol...I’m right handed myself.
Just have to swap back to the right hand after opening is all.

I have a bunch of flippers, you will learn how to instinctively open each one over time without a second thought.

The sturdy pocket clip on the Neon Zero wouldn’t bother me at all!

Given that it only weighs 2.9oz or 3oz I would HATE to lose a $700 folder that slipped out of my pocket without knowing because it’s so light I didn’t notice

So I’m great with hearing it’s super tight

Since I just ordered one myself from Recon1

Wish you would have posted some take-down pics when you had it apart.

If I have mine apart I will post some here.

Good to know. Yeah, not something I care for in a frame lock. It is looking like I may need to move on. Thx for letting me know.
Not trying to be an enabler or anything, but the liner lock F3 in that olive green micarta might be your thing.

Good luck with yours. After the fact I realized I should have taken pics. My Zero is now fully and properly broken in. Silky smooth gravity closing. I still have my moments where I get the opening wrong and jamb my finger. But most of the time now it is utter heaven.
