I believe you can own / collect them but they must be transported in a locked case, and even on your own private property you'd be SOL if you somehow got busted with the switchblade in your pocket.

If I'm not mistaken you can't even carry them on private property.

As I understand it basically they're legal to own / collect ,but must be transported in a locked case.

Thank you for the reply. Seems overly complicated but I guess that's California in a nutshell. Asking because a member wants to purchase an auto from me and I don't want to risk getting jammed up for shipping it to him if they can't own them.
