Should I be worried about shipping a knife to Australia to a buyer with no feedback?

I wish...!!!! At least they could have included a nope saying "hey Andy, that A100 is sweeeet" ...!!!!

Having shipped a few dozen knives (fixed blade, single edged) to Oz I haven't had any problems yet. Not saying you won't, but thats my experience thus far. All paid via Paypal.

I know of around 200 Busse and Kin knives in Australia, I've handled about half of them...
I bought quite a few on the Exchange myself, sometimes with assistance of some helpful members here, and I don't think anyone had issues with dealing with me outside of US.
Single edge fixed blade knives are perfectly fine to be imported to Australia.

And yes...once again...fixed single edge blades present NO problem with Customs at all...ever...not once.... ;) Maybe I wish they did...I would be around $15K better off over this past year... ;)

I've been buying and selling knives for about 5 years(quite a lot of knives at that)and the only time a knife never reached it's destination was one I sent to Australia lost $200.00 on that deal, once it left the USA ,the USPS is not responsible,∫å߆å®∂ß

Thanks to all of you for your advice and input. My main concern is that he has no feedback and with this being an international shipment with Paypal payment I will not be covered if he ends up not being who he says he is i.e unauthorized use of someone's Paypal account. I'm going to see if he'll go the international bank transfer route to cover myself.

I just shipped a Buck Nighthawk to Australia with no problems. The buyer just confirmed today that he received it. :)

Shipping an expensive knife over seas to someone with no feedback and an unconfirmed PayPal address, Again I'd pass.

Just couldn't bring myself to ship it and take the risk. It came down to an unverified Paypal address. Otherwise I would have shipped to Australia and wouldn't even have been worried about customs. I spent hours dealing with the buyer but if they're not willing to do their part to alleviate the risk then I have to let the deal fall through.

So I have a very nice blue/black SARGE-7 packaged up and ready to ship out once another buyer comes along

Thanks again for all of your advice, guys. I truly appreciate it!

Update. I ended up taking a little bit of a risk and shipped to this buyer in Australia. He received the SARGE just fine (took about 2 weeks to get to him) and now he has some positive feedback from me to help him with his next deal. Very nice guy and I'm glad we were able to make it work.
