The Dixie Deer Classic is always held the last day or two of February or the first few days of March. Had a nice day yesterday and enjoyed the show - lots of outfitters from all over North America and several from Africa - you could book any type of hunt you wanted from Quail to Cape Buffalo. Lots of custom call makers (mostly turkey and waterfowl), quite a few custom knife makers and a couple knife sellers (I bought a Buck Knife). Most of the trophy heads go up end of day Friday, so I always miss that, but prefer the slower and sparser crowd on Fridays. OH
