Hi all,
Over this last weekend, I took my son out on a little camping trip for his 16th birthday. It wasn't until after we had explored our surroundings and settled in a bit that I realized that the majority of the tools that we had brought were made by makers that not only contribute here but also support the forums with their memberships. Over the last few years, I have been a bit more intentional in engaging the makers here and acquiring their work. As a result, I've been able to get my hands on some of the best tools imaginable and it wouldn't have been possible had I not been plugged into this community and discovered the very talented craftsmen amongst us.
I thought it would be fun to start a thread where we all can give a shout-out to our favorite supporting makers here and share some pictures of their fine work.
With the exception of our pocket knives (and the puukko that is always on my belt), all of the tools that my son and I brought were made and acquired direct from their makers here in these forums.
In the picture below (from our recent outing), you will find the following makers represented:
cardman
,
Nathan the Machinist
,
Lorien
,
Redmeadow Knives
,
JK Knives
,
Daado
,
hellize
This is just a fraction of what I have from some of these makers and only a small sampling of work that I have overall from our BF craftsmen. I'll drum up some more stuff to share for later.
