The newer one is the Micarta Inlay Sebenza with S35VN polished blade with street value at $510 - Luckily I was able to pay less than that with a partial trade.

The Umnumzaan is one that I got at full price $400 + a G10 Handle scale which I got separately.

The knife that I paid most for was my Busse NMFBM LE... I sold it however, as I didnt really like it too much. The most expensive knife I bought that I still own is my Fehrman 10" hoodhunter, followed by my Fallkniven TK1 (CAD$450) and Chris Reeve Umnumzaan ($400).

Do sets count? If so, My CRK Snakewood inlay large and small set, followed by my Luke Swenson American Hero Set. (I dont yet have either in my possession, but will VERY soon).

Here is my Fehrman set (Hoodhunter and Peacemaker with Custom leather by Luke Swenson)

John Sheehan Custom Skinner with Desert Iron Wood and 440 Stainless. Paid $200.00 in 1980 Dollars which seemed like a fortune then to an 18 YR old....John has long since succumbed to cancer so no idea on value, no more will ever be made, so it's priceless to me.

William Henry Monarch folder Model B5. I paid $375 in 2004. I don't know what it is worth now, but I wouldn't sell it....

Spyderco Civillian G10 handle.

My most expensive blade is a ginunting at $200. Next up is a Benchmade Bedlam IIRC a little over $150.

I'm looking at getting my first custom in the $300 range.

DDR HTM Maxx 5.5 converted to tip up by Darrell. It was $485 to my door, but I think they've dropped just a bit since then.

I took my eldest son on a weekend course-introduction to bladesmithing in the NSW southern highlands.
This is what we came up with.
1400. for the weekend for the two of us.
the sense of accomplishment & achievement far outweighing the cost.
cheers.
