You ain’t lying. I know exactly what you mean. Puts a lot of force behind it. I remember as a kid watching my dad take a knife and score around wire with his thumb on the other side. Used to scare the piss outta me to do it when I was younger. Now it’s just second nature
 
Forgot to post the other day. Cleaning out an attic with a relative. We opened around 50 boxes and bags of stuff before disposal of most of it. Was to dusty for more pics. (needed gloves and respirator.

It’s a LED retrofit to replace metal halide, sodium, HID bulbs. Basically you don’t have to have ballast and capacitor. Wired past all of that and wire directly to the socket. We call them corn cobs
