Hi 69, I saw the clip and it definitely looks like it had some FMA in there. What impressed you the most about it?
 
Actually, I kind of liked all of it. The teacher, or the man guy moves well. He did a move towards the end that looks very Blaise Loongish. Go to the ground, and go under and around.

He was doing alot of what looked like tapi tapi. You know how Matt Thorton and the SBA guys are about tapi tapi. That would put a huge knott in Thortons nadds.
 
Plus, that guy has obviousely crosstrained in the southeast asian arts. I've seen lots of krav maga, but I've never seen any of them do tapi tapi.

There is a drill similar in Isreali Kapap, but it's not tapi tapi. 2 men from Spain introduced knife fighting to the teachers of Isreali kapap about 65 or more years ago. The spanish have a drill that has similarities to tapi tapi apparently.
 
Yeah Thorton thinks tapi tapi is pretty much useless. I have to agree, I'd rather do some isolated sparring than that.

But that's just me.
