Single Blade Sunday !!!

they just don't make them like that no more!!
But look what Cooper Cutlery made!! Branded "Beaver Falls Cutlery Co, this little single-blade is quite extraordinary!!Beaver Falls 1.jpgBeaver Falls 2.jpgBeaver Falls 3.jpg

Having a nice matte finish all over, this 3 1/2" Jack is exquisitely detailed! It has integral bolsters, rarely seen on production knives!! The precisely-machined long pull has edges just softened enough so they don't tear your fingernail! The walk and talk, with the half stop I love, is healthy and firm! A nice leaf-shaped Spear blade in D-2, and what looks like a Case-hardened shield (not pinned)! The blade is ground thin and sharp!! A slicer!!

The knife feels good in hand and pocket, edges softened, and tang not too obtrusive!! What a delightful Jack!!
Icing on the cake, it was a gift!! Thanks Barry!! gunstockjack gunstockjack !!! I gotta find out more about this company!!!

I had my trusty single-blade Boker Barlow Expedition on my wanderings today.

Good thing too, 'cause later there was... tall grass. OHD muttering something about never going into the tall grass as he warily watched and listened for Raptor sign.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday and Mother's Day.

I usually think that, when it comes to pocketknives, the more blades, the merrier. But I've managed to acquire quite a few single-bladed knives over the past 11+ years, so this thread is a good opportunity for me to take a census of my 1-blade models.
