Small Victory for Canadian Knife Laws

As many of you know, the CBSA has started to seize one-handed opening pocket knives. There has been a fair bit of outcry and, as a result, MP Matt Jeneroux has sponsored an official, now approved, petition in the House of Commons. Please consider signing the official petition. I saw that the totals include a line

"Other countries 3"

Will it help to have non-Canadians sign the petition, or will that water things down or be looked on unfavorably by the PTB?

I’m not sure. I would imagine anything helps, but I wouldn’t know 100%.

Can't sign as it needs a valid canadian phone number which I do not have. And I'd rather not risk the status of the petition with a potentially invalid signature.
