I have used a large rat trap to catch squirells. I haven't tried them for rabbits yet. I could catch a dozen of those furry tailed tree climbers before getting a rabbit. They are almost a pest.

I attempted to use a large rat trap for squirrels once when I was a kid... Found some blood and hair...No squirrel I never have or never will try it again... I felt awful about it but we got some big squirrels up here..
