anyone has a beat up 3 that needs a new home? looking for one to do some mods, doesn't feel right to buy a new one to mangle it.
 
It was the hottest opener for a World Series on record. Since the series ended, it's been dipping into the 60's all week. Running up Cajon Pass Sunday morning we ran through a misty, swampy, showering drench of a rain. That gave way to partly cloudy and gusting wind to about 30-35 up in the desert, and pretty cool all day. Summer flinched, cloudy season is here.
 
there was a good video some years ago, a squirrel latched on real good, and just kept going faster and faster and faster and was eventually shot off. not fatal, but there it is :D

It's 22 right now. Been around that for a while now.

Would we have to fling squirrels?
 
Can anyone tell me just what sort of spring mechanism is used for that squirrel flinger in the video?
 
Runs off batteries. Platform senses squirrel and the platform rotates kinda' rapidly. Birds are too light to cause the platform to rotate.

We borrowed one from a friend once and it actually works. The squirrels catch on quickly and leave the feeder alone.
