Hello I just purchased my first Sog knife and it's a Sog Desert Dagger and I was wondering if I could find a leather sheath for the Dagger instead of the nylon sheath it came with cause I think it would complement the knife better then the original sheath so if you have any suggestions for a better sheath for knife I would appreciate it and what your opinion on the Sog Desert Dagger? Thank you

can't help with sheath suggestion.
can tell you a thing or two though
original plans of naming the dagger - "the patriot" (like in the missile)
fell through when the name was already in use by Gerber.
it was height of the desert storm era ...
so somehow it was renamed as the "desert" dagger.
the dagger was part of a twosome in
what was to be an economically priced grunt product range.
in case you didn't know, the other knife being the Government.
both knives shared the same kraton handle, steel finger cross guard,
steel disc pommel and nylon sheath.
in fact if one was to take a closer look at the kraton handle,
it becomes apparent that it was not nearly as symmetrical
as one would come to expect for a dagger.
ultimately a dagger is a specialized knife
and certainly not at all general utility.
but i figure Kill Bill the Movie made sure that
the Sog Desert Dagger would became a cult movie knife.
Imho, Uma Thurman probably saved it from obscurity.
Its still a nice looking dagger given its age.
i m certain it will be for a while yet.
